Consultations:

Depending on the type of portrait session we are doing, we will sometimes suggest a portrait planning consultation.

This is a time for you prepare yourself for your upcoming session and to be sure that you will get the images that you are dreaming of. While here, we will discuss portrait location options, clothing ideas, the people and pet’s involved as well as the feel that you envisioning and what you want to portray. We will also take some time look at different ways to display your portraits. We will work with you to make the session everything you want it to be.

Maternity Sessions:

Pregnancy is the perfect time to capture the beautiful relationship that has begun between you and your child. We usually like to take maternity portraits between 24-28 weeks for twin mom’s and 32-36 weeks if you are carrying one. We try to take all maternity portraits by 36 weeks because Rima’s first baby was born at 36 weeks – so it’s kind of a deadline for us, if possible! If we talk to you for the first time after 36 weeks, we will do everything possible to have you in as soon as possible so that you (hopefully) do not miss out on having your portraits taken.

Our studio was specifically designed for maternity and baby portraits… Rima affectionately refers to her studio as the ‘Baby Spa’ … our unique lighting set-up enables us to create beautiful, intimate portraits; images that really accentuate and compliment your new curves and body shape.

Newborn Sessions:

Infancy is such a precious and tiresome stage all at the same time. It is the right time to photograph your baby, catching adorable 'sleepy' photos as well as your first family portrait. We take some really special cuddling photos so you can see the start of your new relationship that has begun between you and your child.

Our unique lighting set-up enables us to create beautiful, intimate memories. For your baby portraits, we keep the studio extra warm to make your little one comfortable, along with soothing background music. Rima’s extraordinary ability to interact with babies, as well as her reputation for being an expert maternity and infant photographer, will make your portrait session a truly wonderful and enjoyable experience!

For newborns, we like to see the baby within the first 10 days, if possible. There are many great reasons, but the two main ones are that at about 2 weeks old, infant acne tends to show up, and at 3 weeks the baby goes through his/her first growth spurt. During this time, infants tend to more unsettled, rather than peaceful, during their awake time.

We suggest you call as soon as baby and you are home. Calling early gives us a better chance of getting you in for your session within the first 10 days. If you are having a scheduled C-section, we prebook your infant session before you have the baby.

We take very good care of our moms here, so even if you've had a C-section, we still like to get you in during the same timeframe. You would sit and enjoy watching most of the session while Dad and Rima do all the work, and Rima just gets you up for the photos you are actually in.

Baby Plan Sessions:

Your child will grow and change so much during their first year of life. What better way to remember each small milestone along the way then with our precious keepsake “baby plan” package. Together we will watch your child grow and gain their independence by capturing those special moments on film.

Remember all those unique facial expressions that your child makes during your 3 month milestone ‘Smiles’ photos. Watch them start to develop their independence when they can sit on their own during the 6 month ‘Sitting’ milestone. Marvel at their every changing personality and sense of new found adventure with the 9 month ‘Standing with Furniture’ and 12 month ‘Walking’ milestones. We also love to TRASH a cake with your one year old to celebrate their birthday! At the end of the year, look back on all the memories and capture the next session where we have ‘Fun with Props’ at 18 months. When all session are complete, we will provide a collage of all these precious milestones at no additional cost to you.

Family Sessions:

Show off your family’s unique personality and unity with a photo session designed just for you. Sessions can be done with families of any size, and of course, pets can be included as well.

We love doing family sessions in the wide open outdoors. Kids can run, play and be themselves…and this is exactly what we want to capture! The options are endless, from a nice green park, to the beach at sunset to a unique urban feel in downtown Fort Langley. Bringing in elements of your hometown, or even your home will give you a memory to last a lifetime.

We also have our favourite spots for sessions, so feel free to ask for a recommendation.

Viewing and Ordering Sessions:

It’s now time to take a look at all the beautiful portraits that were taken and find the ones that you want to showcase in your home. Your portraits can add a personal, cheerful and dramatic effect to any room in your home.

We have a fantastic system for selecting and ordering your photos - you will view your images on the big screen, and you will see actual sizes of the portraits you might like to order, so you can see how it will look on your wall! It’s also very easy to narrow down to the favorites when you are viewing full size images side by side. Differences are very easy to see when they are on the big screen.

Bring in your list of people who you will be ordering photos for.

We like to ask that everyone involved in the decision-making process come along that night. We want you to relax and enjoy yourself as you view your images, so it's best if you can make it a date night, or find someone to watch the kids for a couple of hours.
